Curriculum
Vitae: Graduated in musicology from the Faculty of Arts
of Charles University in Prague, where he also received Ph.D. in 2005 ( Music Prints of polyphony, music
theory and tablatures in Bohemia, 1500-1630).
He worked at
the Institute of Musicology of Charles University in Prague as an
Associate Professor. Nowadays, he works at the Academy of Performing
Arts in Bratislava (Slovakia). His field of research is the musical
culture of
the Renaissance in Bohemia, especially music in Rudolphian
Prague and music prints in Czech Countries 1500-1630. For the
Association for Central European Cultural Studies he
developped individual research project ( Repertory of the rare printed
musical books now in the Czech Republic, I: 1500-1630,
supported by Czech Science Foundation). He also teaches music history,
dramaturgy and management at the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava
(Slovakia).
